By accessing or using the Tides Pilates website and services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our services. "Services" refers to our website, booking platform, classes, sessions, and all related offerings.
Tides Pilates provides classical Pilates instruction through private, duet, and small group sessions at our studio located at 1433 11th St, Ste F, Arcata, CA 95521. Our platform enables online booking, package and membership purchases, gift certificate transactions, and account management.
You must create an account to book sessions and purchase packages or memberships. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information and to update it as needed.
Sessions must be booked through our online platform. Cancellations made outside the cancellation window (as configured in your booking confirmation) will receive a full credit restoration. Cancellations made inside the cancellation window, late cancellations, and no-shows will result in forfeiture of the session credit. Repeated no-shows may result in booking restrictions at our discretion.
All prices are listed in US dollars. Payment is processed securely through Stripe at the time of purchase. Packages must be used within their validity period; expired unused credits are non-refundable. Drop-in sessions are charged at the posted rate for the class type.
Monthly memberships are billed automatically on a recurring basis. You may cancel your membership at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Unused monthly credits expire at the end of each billing cycle unless rollover is included in your membership plan. Membership benefits and pricing are subject to change with 30 days' notice to current members.
Gift certificates are non-refundable and may be applied to any service offered by Tides Pilates. Dollar-amount gift certificates can be used toward any package, membership, or drop-in session. Package-specific gift certificates are redeemable only for the designated package. Gift certificates do not expire.
Pilates involves physical activity that carries inherent risks, including but not limited to muscle strains, sprains, and other injuries. By participating in sessions at Tides Pilates, you acknowledge these risks and agree to hold harmless Tides Pilates, its owners, instructors, and staff from any claims arising from your participation. You represent that you are physically able to participate and have disclosed all relevant health conditions through our intake forms.
We are committed to providing a respectful, inclusive environment for all clients. We expect all participants to treat staff and fellow clients with courtesy and respect. Harassment, discrimination, or disruptive behavior of any kind will not be tolerated and may result in termination of your account and access to services without refund.
All content on the Tides Pilates website, including text, images, logos, and design, is the property of Tides Pilates and is protected by copyright law. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from our content without written permission. Photography and video recording during sessions is prohibited without prior approval.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Tides Pilates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of our services. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid for the specific service giving rise to the claim.
These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of the State of California. Any disputes arising from these terms shall be resolved in the courts of Humboldt County, California.
We reserve the right to modify these Terms of Service at any time. Material changes will be communicated via email or prominently posted on our website. Your continued use of our services after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
